Jaffna Journey Beyond Boundaries

Northern Whispers  Our Jaffna Journey Beyond Boundaries Introduction Our Jaffna tour was more than just a trip—it was a soul-stirring journey into the northern charm of Sri Lanka. With every turn, Jaffna unveiled its rich culture, historic landmarks, and flavors that danced on our tongues. We wandered through time, tasted tradition, and found joy in the simplest moments. Here's a glimpse into the vibrant days we spent in this northern gem. A Land That Remembered – Traces of the War As much as Jaffna thrives today, it doesn’t shy away from its past. Scattered across the landscape are ruins of war-torn buildings , bullet-scarred walls, and empty shells of homes that once held laughter. The silence of these places speaks louder than words.  A Sleepless Night Above the Clouds – Our Hulangala Camping Experience   There are adventures —and then there are experiences that etch themselves into your soul . Hulangala was exactly that for us. What is Hulangala? Nestled in the Matale District , Hulangala (also known as Hulangala Mini World's End ) sits on the southern edge of the Knuckles Mountain Range, within the Selagama Tea Estate   . Rising to about 760 m at the viewpoint and reaching over 1,000 m on the peak    it’s a hidden gem offering 360° panoramas of misty valleys, undulating green hills, and the distant Knuckles peaks. This isn’t a polished tourist spot—it’s wild, rugged, and rare. The entrance is marked by a small gate, the path winds through tea and forest, and the breeze is so alive, it inspired its name: “Hulangala” meaning Windy Rock. Into the Heart of the Highlands Our group of five embarked from Matale–Yatawatta, following rugged roads and hiking the final 2–3 km through the ...
